Engineering Lead, Mobility Platform

Seat:Code is hiring an Engineering Lead to grow and guide the team behind its mobility platform — owning architecture, delivery and the people who build it.

Apply for this role

About the role

Seat:Code builds the software behind connected and shared mobility. The mobility platform team owns the services that other product teams depend on — and it is looking for an Engineering Lead to take it through its next stage of growth.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will spend your time roughly evenly between technical direction and growing the people on your team, working closely with product and design to ship work that matters.

What you'll do

  • Lead a team of six engineers building and scaling the mobility platform.
  • Own technical architecture and delivery for the platform roadmap.
  • Set engineering standards — code quality, testing, on-call and review practices.
  • Partner with product and design to turn ambiguous problems into shipped work.
  • Coach engineers through regular feedback, growth plans and hiring.

What we're looking for

  • 7+ years building production software, with 2+ years leading engineers.
  • Strong background in distributed systems and platform or API work.
  • A track record of delivering complex projects across multiple teams.
  • Comfortable balancing hands-on technical work with people leadership.
  • Fluent English; Spanish or Catalan a plus.

Nice to have

  • Experience in mobility, logistics or marketplace products.
  • Exposure to real-time data pipelines or event-driven architectures.
